To help ensure a smooth and efficient appointment, please have the following ready:
A valid, government-issued photo ID for all signers
Completed documents (do not sign ahead of time unless instructed)
All signers present at the time of the appointment
Any required witnesses, if applicable
A quiet, well-lit location for document review and signing

In Texas, a notary must identify a signer using satisfactory evidence of identity. The following forms of identification are commonly accepted. IDs must be current or issued within the past four years and include a photo and signature.

Texas Identification Card
Driver License or ID issued by another U.S. state or territory
U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card
U.S. Military Identification Card
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
Foreign passport (accepted in certain circumstances as permitted by Texas law)
Expired IDs
Photocopies or digital images of IDs
Birth certificates
Social Security cards
Credit or debit cards
Student IDs or employee badges
The name on the ID must reasonably match the name on the document being notarized. If you are unsure whether your ID is acceptable, please contact us before your appointment.
